A lifelong Oregonian, Alyssa’s passion for dogs began at a very young age owning many stuffed animals to play Vet hospital. During high school Alyssa began working as an attendant at a small family owned doggy daycare in Lake Oswego where she grew up. After high school Alyssa went on working for several doggy daycares, to becoming a veterinary assistant, and eventually she became a trainer working under her mentor Heather Wood who has been training dogs for over a decade. In 2021 Alyssa opened A&V Dog training. Having dabbled in many different dog doors, Alyssa feels happiest helping pups become their best selves.

Alyssa is now a mom to 2 beautiful children, a wife and has 3 pups of her own. The aussie you see featured through the website is Violet, Alyssa soulmate in fur and the reason she has such a passion for helping families connect with their pets.

Off Leash Board and Train

This program is perfect for those with demanding schedules and a fast paced lifestyle! This program is also great if you have a big trip coming up and you want your dog trained while you’re away.

The Board and Train Program is offered with or without e-collar training. No e-collar goes over the same commands but is not given complete off leash freedoms.

Prior to scheduling, Alyssa will come to you to provide a Meet and Greet, and go over what you are looking for and answer any questions!

This is a 3-4 week program where your pet will live in home with our family and they will become a part of our pack while they’re here! Through this immersive experience, your pet will be guided towards achieving your desired results! We will build a solid foundation in and out of the home ensuring you feel confident taking your pet with you wherever you go!

Whether you are at the beach, hiking, camping or just at your local park, you will feel more confidant in your dog than ever with their leashed / off leash recall skills.

All equipment included
Curbs unwanted behaviors such as counter surfing, chewing, digging, rushing doors, jumping, unnecessary barking, reactivity, etc.
Free support for the first year after training is completed
In depth go home session once training is complete so you and your family are all comfortable working with your pet and understand the training.

Leash Manners Board and Train

This is a 2-3 week program where your pet will live in home with our family, and is much like the offered Off Leash B&T package but this program focuses on leash manners like heeling, loose leash walking and avoiding other pets and people on walk ways and common area. This program also helps build an in home foundation as well teaching place, and not rushing the door. The leash manners B&T is also great for those with pets who can have anxious behaviors in and out of home like pacing, whining and restlessness.

Boarding

$65 per night + $15 per dog from the same home

Do you have an upcoming vacation? I also offer boarding! Your pet lives in home with Alyssa and family while you are away.
